LANDHOLDINGS, curated by Colleen Gutwein, was a multimedia exhibition focused on questioning the ownership and stewardship of the land we live on. The exhibition explores these ideas though an ascension from soil composition to the broader scale of cartography and all of the human relationships in between. In addition to the Next Epoch Seed Library, the artists were Nell Painter, Sarah Fox, Mike Belleme, Jamie Bruno.

For this exhibition, we installed our library structure, made up primarily of found materials, complete with video screen, pamphlets, seed packets available for the public to take, a seed signout sheet, seed display jars and drawers, site photos, and decorative plastic bag bunting. We also created a demo garden of some of our favorite weedy species, including two intrepid morning glory plants that twined up our plant stakes and then up our grow light’s chain.

The Next Epoch Seed Library created a room-sized installation for the 2016 exhibition, Living Together: Nurturing Nature in the Built Environment, curated by Kristen Evangelista, for William Paterson University galleries.
